Climbing Club

The Youth Climbing Club is a 13 week program structured to provide kids, ages 7-12, the opportunity to discover and learn about the sport of rock climbing.

Under the guidance of dedicated instructors, kids learn basic rock climbing skills, as well as work at improving balance, strength and coordination. The sport of rock climbing will also help your child develop self-confidence and self-esteem, while learning other life skills such as teamwork and communication. These classes are offered once per week during our Spring session (January-April) and Fall session (September-December).

  • Monday 3:30 - 5 pm (ages 7-9), 4 - 5:30 pm (ages 10-12), 5 - 6:30 pm (ages 8-10)

  • Tuesday 4 pm - 5:30 pm (ages 7-12)

  • Wednesday 4 - 5:30 pm (ages 7-9 and 8-10), 5:30 - 7 pm (ages 10-12)

  • Thursday 4 pm - 5:30 pm (ages 7-12)

  • Spring 2025 | Jan 20 - April 17

  • Fall 2025 | Sep 2 - Dec 4

  • $285 per session

* This includes a standard youth / young adult membership for the duration of Climbing Club as well as equipment rentals during Climbing Club only.

Summer Camp

Our Summer Camps are week-long programs for climbers of any skill level ages 7-12. Summer camp shows just how fun climbing can be and includes games, climbing, and special activities such as a rope swing and tie dye.

  • Monday - Friday 9am - 2pm

  • $350/week

* Registration for Summer Camp 2024 opens March 11.

Recreational Team

This program often serves as preparation for joining the Competitive Team, but can also be a great place to advance technically without the pressure of competition. Rec Team members are strongly encouraged to have their own equipment (shoes, harness, chalk bag, locking carabiner and belay device).

The Youth Recreational Team is an ongoing program for kids and young adults ages 10-18 who are ready to take their climbing to the next level. Rec Team is ideal for intermediate level climbers looking to improve their skills, strength, endurance, and climbing proficiency.

  • Mondays and Wednesdays (Early or Late session)

  • Early Session: 4 pm - 5:45 pm, ages 10-14

  • Late Session: 6 pm - 7:45 pm, ages 14-18

  • $155/month

* If you do not have your own equipment, it is an additional $40/month for    equipment rental

* This includes a standard youth / young adult membership

Competitive Team

The Youth Competitive Team is an ongoing program for kids and young adults ages 10-18 who are intermediate to advanced level climbers interested in competing in local, and potentially divisional, national, and even international climbing competitions.

Youth Competitive Team features in-depth instruction, coaching, and training. Our experienced coaches help members focus on climbing technique, strength, endurance and core balance. All team members must be proficient at belaying and willing to take on the challenge of lead climbing and lead belaying.

  • Tuesday and Thursdays (Early or Late session)

  • Early Session: 4 pm - 6 pm

  • Late Session: 6 pm - 8 pm

  • $155/month

* Competitive Team members must have their own equipment (shoes, harness, chalk bag, locking carabiner and belay device).

* This includes a standard youth / young adult membership

Homeschool

Granite Arch Homeschool Classes are P.E. classes designed to introduce homeschoolers to the sport of climbing. Kids will learn to tie the climber’s knot, belay, and use technique and strength to climb effectively. Our instructors also concentrate on team-building concepts throughout the program to emphasize social interaction, fitness, fun, and friendship.

These classes are offered once a week in the Fall (September - December) and Winter/Spring (January - April) Semesters.

Beginning

A great entry point for students of all levels.

  • Ages 7-18

  • 12 weekly sessions

  • $350/semester

  • Equipment Provided

  • Monday 11 am - 1 pm OR 1:30 pm - 3:30 pm

  • Wednesday 11 am - 1:00 pm OR 1:30 pm - 3:30 pm

  • Thursday 11:30 am - 1:30 pm

 

Intermediate

Students must have completed the Beginning class at Granite Arch and demonstrate proper belaying technique. Students must be able to complete at least a 5.6 climb.

  • Ages 8-18

  • 12 weekly sessions

  • $350/semester

  • Equipment Provided

  • Monday 1 pm - 3 pm

  • Tuesday 11 am - 1 pm

  • Wednesday 1:30 pm - 3:30 pm

  • Thursday 1:30 pm - 3:30 pm

Advanced

Students must have completed the Intermediate class at Granite Arch or demonstrate proficiency in belaying and climbing ability to the satisfaction of the instructor. Students must be able to complete at least a 5.8 climb.

  • Ages 10-18

  • 12 weekly sessions

  • $460/semester

  • Equipment Provided

  • Tuesday 1:30 pm - 3:30 pm

  • Thursday 1:30 pm - 3:30 pm

  • Includes a field trip to a local outdoor climbing area during the final session.

* Our Homeschool Classes are very popular and do have a waitlist. We highly recommend joining the waitlist as early as possible.

Adult Rec Team

Program Launching January 22, 2025

The Adult Rec Climbing Program is a welcoming, year-round training opportunity for climbers aged 18 and older at any level of their climbing journey. Whether you're just starting out or looking to refine advanced techniques, we offer a customized approach tailored to each individual climber's goals and needs.  

 

Utilizing periodized block training sessions, this program is designed to support climbing progression at every stage. We focus on building foundational skills, teaching advanced body positioning, fine-tuning power movements, increasing strength, and improving the endurance needed for longer sessions and conquering more challenging routes.  

 

Participants will train weekly with our highly experienced coaches, who will provide personalized guidance to help each climber grow at their own pace. The program also fosters a strong sense of community and offers opportunities to compete in two in-house bouldering competitions and one ropes competition annually.  

 

This program is perfect for climbers seeking tailored coaching, consistent growth, and the chance to connect with a supportive, like-minded community. Whatever your climbing aspirations, we have a place for you.

  • Must be 18+

  • Wednesdays 6-8pm

  • $95/month EFT membership
